92 explosions and three intense bursts have shaken the area of the Telica Volcano, Guatemala in just 24 hours.
The explosions released lots of gas, ash and hot rock fragments in the air and were accompanied by mild earthquakes.
The massif has registered almost 100 loud explosions in the last 24 hours which have put Nicaragua on red alert.
A dozen communities are being assisted by health care brigades for possible people affected by the fumes and ash fall.
The Telica volcano initiated a seismic and eruptive activity in early May. Telica is located 112 kilometers northeast of Managua (capital) and is one of the most active volcanoes in the mountains of the Maribios.
