Maritza Soto Vasquez, a Chilean doctorate student, has luckily discovered a new planet while studying a nearby red star.
Apparently it the new planet has a mass 100 times that of Earth, orbits around a star double the size of the Sun.
The planet is at a distance of 320 million light years from Earth and is closer to its star than the Blue Planet is to the Sun.
Apparently, the new celestial body is three times the size of Jupiter, in the place of Venus.
It must be quite a great feeling to make a concrete scientific discovery.
