It’s getting hot in here: Three reports show we are heading towards the end of the world

The UN just released its climate change report card… And we are failing! This isn’t the only report that was published in recent weeks… And they all say we are heading towards the End of the World…

Another report? Yup, there’ve been a couple recently. Like…

Last month’s UN report: It was conducted by its climate science panel that looked at more than 6,000 studies. It said we have 12 years to massively cut greenhouse gas emissions. If not, expect a potential climate crisis within our lifetimes.

The Black Friday report: It was conducted by more than a dozen federal agencies. It predicted the negative impact on US industries like dairy, fishing, and farming – which could hit soybean and corn production especially hard. It said climate change could cost the US economy hundreds of billions of dollars by the end of the century. But you probably haven’t heard much about it…

This new report: It is conducted by the UN every year to check how well countries are doing at reducing their greenhouse gas emissions. Short answer: really bad. In 2015, almost every country in the world pledged to lower emissions as part of the Paris climate deal. Not only are countries not on track with their goals, but the UN says the goals are too low to begin with, and could still lead to some worst-case scenarios.

When you say worst-case scenario, what are we talking about here?

As is, Earth’s already about 1°C hotter than it was before the Industrial Revolution. And we’re already starting to see the effects. Floods, droughts, wildfires and more frequent, intense hurricanes have all been tied to climate change. If things continue to heat up at this rate, the report says the climate situation could become “catastrophic.”

What needs to happen for climate change to stop?

International governments need to bring their A-game to drastically cut down emissions (think: more money and stronger policies). Problem, because they’re having commitment issues. The UN is encouraging local and city govs to keep at it, even if national govs aren’t doing enough.

Next week, international leaders are meeting in Poland for a UN climate change conference where all of this will come up. But despite all the warnings and pledges, it’s looking increasingly unlikely the world is on track to avoid catastrophic effects of climate damage.

  1. Total BS…..right now…as we speak 50% of all the earths land is BELOW ZERO. No life. Get it? Another 25% is 10 degrees….”barely” able to support life…

We are headed towards an ice age.

  2. Youre serious? Absolute Zero? There is no place in the whole universe with absolute zero! Will the sun dissappear? I giant magma chamber? You are completely out of touch with reality. You think the earth is flat, too?

  3. BS!! If there was seriously a worry, then all the free energy that was developed by Tesla and others would be free for all to use. No “Green house” emmissions!

  4. good………..im glad………i want us all dead……..since all we do is fight over money, land and skin color. we should all be dead. bring it on death!!!!!!!!!!

    • I agree. What governs the world’s climate isn’t human activity, the Sun does. One can go back some 150 million years when dinosaurs roamed much of the world, including Antarctica. The climate back then was much warmer than it is today. Once the dinosaurs went extinct from combinations of a huge asteroid strike and volcanic eruptions some 65 million years ago, the world’s temperatures haven’t risen that high since.
The only other warm period that was mentioned was the Roman Warm Period, and even that wasn’t even close to the Jurassic Period. There was only one Ice Age during the period humans inhabited the world – that was over 20,000 years ago. The only mini-Ice Age was in the early 19th Century AD.
Climate scientists who haven’t been drinking the “global warming” kool-aid have been studying the Sun’s surface and saw that many of its sunspots have already disappeared, leaving just a few; so, instead of the world’s temperatures rising, they’re falling, albeit slowly.

      • and after these lessons from the books, you just feel that somehow and something is not fit into the happenings.
throw everything away and just observe ! please

  5. Ocean emissions is causing the earth to do what it is doing, not people’s doing. The entire human race if in one location would cover Texas, NM, and parts of Arizona in the USA at standing room only. So you have to look elsewhere and your best bet is what is under the Ocean. A Giant Magma Chamber is the cause. By the way, a mini ice age of 30 years is coming onto the earth from January 1 2019 and onwards. Ar you ready for Absolute ZERO on January 15th, 2019?
Within 90 days from the New Moon in December, January, February, or March, 4 billion people die. So the population of the globe will fit in the entire state of Texas, standing or sitting down.
