Emergency crews had to remove a pickup truck from a massive sinkhole (15 feet long and 10 feet deep) on Lindell Boulevard, St. Louis, Wednesday morning, after the driver went through barriers and crashed.
There were two people inside the truck, but neither were injured in the crash.
The driver was looking up directions on his GPS and missed the barriers, and didn’t know the sinkhole was there.
The hole, at Park Road, just before Union, was caused by a watermain break Tuesday morning.
The break, which happened shortly before 6 a.m., caused a massive hole in the roadway, which shut it down to all traffic.
