A mutant turtle was born at the San Antonio Zoo on June 18 2013. It (or they) were baptized ‘Thelma and Louise’.

So cute aren’t they? Hopefully for them, they will not die as abruptly as in the road movie.

The two-headed turtle appears healthy and is able to swim and walk.

The San Antonio Zoo is no stranger to weird and abnormal animals and reptiles a two-headed Texas rat snake was visible at their site from 1978 to 1995.
