That is insane! Today, hurricane force winds engulfed Astana, the capital city of Kazakhstan, toppling down a giant crane. Hail also badly hit the region. Another weather anomaly… Apocalyptic!
As of 2:30 p.m., 13 residents with non-serious injuries have now received emergency treatment.
Officials reported damages across the city with the most important being the fall of a crane at a construction site, porcelain damage at the Palace of Peace and Reconciliation, a school and kindergarten roofs that literally started flying. Some vehicles have also been damaged.
Officials have issued a storm warning in Astana for tomorrow, May 23, 2018, too as strong winds will sweep across the region at more than 25m/s (56mph). Devastating!
