Pretty unexpected to find so much snow in the Australian Alps at this time of the year!

Experienced weather watchers are calling it the storm of the century.

The best snowfalls in a decade are forecast for eastern Australia. This picture speaks for itself!

And these snow falls are accompanied by strong wind gust (up to 100 miles/ hour) and low temperatures (-20°C). Here a video presenting snow covering the road to Thredbo.

More over, this wild weather events (strong winds and megyblizzard) has cut the power to thousands of Victorian and NSW homes in the south-east of Australia…
