A giant mud and rockslide followed after the collapse of Piz Cengalo in Switzerland on August 23, 2017.
The mudflow reached out Bondo, where it completely destroyed 2 buildings and cut off roads in the area. More than 100 people have been evacuated.
This first video captured by Barbara Salis from the Rifugio Sciora is just terrifying. The following ones give you an idea of what occurred, when the mudflow reached the village of Bondo:
Two buildings were completely destroyed, another ten were damaged. More than 100 local residents were evacuated from the settlement. Several roads were flooded and bridges were destroyed.
According to the Nouvelliste, at least 9 people are missing. More victims were avoided thanks to the warning system that had been intalled in the village in 2012.
