Astronauts plan to install tracker on International Space Station (ISS) to monitor bird mass migrations as a warning tool for impending natural disasters.
We have already gone deeply into the possible natural signs before an earthquake. And it turns out that animals feel tectonic activity well before major seismic shifts. In order to track birds, bees and butterflies’ movements and mass migrations, astronauts plan to install a dedicated wildlife receiver to the International Space Station. This new tool could permit to gain an extra five hours warning of an impending disaster.
After putting a lot of ressources in new technologies, science comes back to its roots and studies animal behavior. Yeah!
