San Pedro de Atacama and Calama, two cities situated in the driest desert in the world, were covered with snow on Saturday, May 24, 2014.

The rain and snow storms closed streets and impacted several families which are now living in hostels in Calama. The front has now moved to Argentina.

Well hopefully they had winter tires on!
