It’s totally insane how fast the ash cloud spreads in the sky! WOW!
The Ontake volcano started erupting suddenly and violently at about 11:53 local time (02:53 GMT), severely injuring eight people and stranding more than 250 hikers on the mountain. Aircraft have been forced to divert the area due to the high ash cloud (up to 3 km) around the erupting volcano situated 200 kilometers west of Tokyo.
