A powerful M6.9 earthquake – preliminary M7.3 – has struck Japan just off the coast of Fukushima on November 21, 2016.
The M6.9 earthquake was followed by a M5.4 quake. A warning for a possible 3 meter Tsunami in Fukushima has been issued.
The earthquake was felt in Tokyo and is only situated at a depth of about 10 km. This is approximately the same location than the desastrous Fukushima earthquake and following tsunami that lashed the worst nuclear disaster since Chernobyl.

A warning for a possible 3 meter Tsunami in Fukushima has been issued. The Tsunami is expected to hit Fukushima within minutes. Evacuations are underway.

According to Japan broadcaster NHK, TEPCO has been advised to check for abnormalities at nuclear plant in Fukushima; the plant has been stopped.
