Some really crazy phenomena rolled in the sky of the USA on June 2017. In parallel to the Undulatus Asperatus Sunset looking like Jupiter’s storm in North Dakota, a bright rainbow almost disappeared after being bombarded by rare anticrepuscular rays after a rainstorm over Providence, USA.
The seasonal rain ended late in the day and an intense wheel rainbow appeared over the city. A common occurrence. But then anticrepuscular rays started beaming in the rainbow, which almost lost its color instantly.
If the complete primary rainbow were observed these anticrepuscular rays would appear to fan out from the center of the bow – a rainbow wheel. In this case, the rays look parallel since only the ones near the horizon are visible.
