The epicenter was situated at a depth of 107 km.
NO tsunami danger because below land, not powerful enough and too deep. No tsunami warnings or threats have been issued.
Based on the present earthquake parameters (Magnitude, Depth, Population, etc), I do not expect any serious damage from this earthquake. People in PNG are used to even more powerful earthquakes without damaging property. Light damage is however possible.
The M6.5 earthquake was most probably felt over a wide area, which is typical for deep earthquakes.
