This is amazing! This river has just taken 10 meters in height in just a few days of rain during unprecedented storms in Italy.
Thousands of citizens have been evacuated in the Treviso area after the Piave River has overflown its banks and is flooding the area.
The height of the river has increased by an amazing 9-10 meters, completely invading the floodplains, covering houses and fields under water.
Entire roads have been closed to traffic for security including the railway bridge in Ponte di Piave, where the water had completely covered the pylons of the structure and had come to lick the rails, as seen in the video shot from the helicopter by the Fire Brigade of Treviso.
From today on, the situation should start to improve and the water level to return to normal.
Here some more videos captured in Italy during this storm:

Due to salt water, car batteries began to explode, causing a severe fire.
The same severe storm has put more than 75% of Venice underwater.
