USGS: strange shake and booms in Clintonville might be a “micro-quake”

The US Geological Survey says that the recent shake and booms experienced in Clintonville, Winsconsin, might be a “micro-quake” scaled at 1.5.

Anyway residents of Clintonville are quite sceptical about this explanation because it doesn’t cover the following facts:

  • why the booms was so loud if it’s just a 1.5 “microquake”?
  • why did this all last for several days?
  • why the similar phenomena have been experienced in Montello, 80 miles south from Clintonville?
