LOUD Booms and Extremely Bright Fireball In The Sky, USA, October 30 2012

UPDATE: Further research indicates this may be a meteor from the debris field of Halley’s Comet. Research indicates close to 60 reports of a bright meteor that occurred at 06:10:49 AM CDT Tuesday morning October 30, 2012. Reports arrived from multiple southern and mid-western states. American Meteor Society indicated they received sightings as far south as Alabama and Louisiana, as far north as Illinois, as far east as Kentucky and Tennessee, and as far west as Texas and Oklahoma.

Brightness estimates based on the video arrive at magnitude -13. The colors of the meteor were green, gold and blue. For documentation according to 2012 AMS Fireball Table Refer to event #1677 for 2012.

  1. thanks alot for sharing.i’ve been searching about these strange sound things for months.there are several possibilities such as radio frequency weapons or psychotronic mind control projects and so on but i for one can’t put forward any guess at all.by the way i wonder why these sounds are heard in just specific parts of the world.i live in iran and there are no reports of such sounds in no part of the country (neither in iran nor in any neighbor countries such as armenia,azarbayjan,lebanon and so on) so it seems these sounds are to do with particular geographical features in specific parts of the world (mainly in the west)
