December 07 2012 – Mysterious bright flash in the sky over Texas, USA

A mysterious flash was observed in the sky early friday morning at around 6:42 am over the Lone Star State, Texas from McKinney to the White Rock Lake area and all the way south to Houston reports WFAA. It was accompagnied by sonic booms, a strange white to orange color that lasted only a few seconds before vanishing. It may have been trigerred either by a meteor, or by a satellite reentering the atmosphere. It is however most likely a meteor having a size of a basketball says NASA.

Sonic booms mean that the meteor probably hit the ground. So go meteorite hunters go!!!
