Frederick County, Virginia Loud Booms Update – January 14 2013

1

The loud booms reported on Tuesday evening at around 5PM in Gore, Shawneeland, Stephenson, and Stephens City (Frederick County), Virginia and which shaked windows and even some homes are related to a Dominion Power’s construction, the so-called Mt. Storm Project, which is taking a transmission line from western West Virginia through Frederick and Clarke counties into Maryland. For this project, workers are using implosive sleeve devices which melt the lines together and also causes a loud noise. Dominion Power will soon enter into Frederick County, so it is likely people will be hearing more loud booms.
