January 15 2013 – California. The loud booms reported by residents from the lower Yuba County on the 15th of January 2013 at around 1 PM were caused by an explosive ordnance disposal at Beale Air Force Base said. These exercises, during which one to three small shots are done, occur periodically on the base. The loud explosion boom may have traveled due to the cloudy weather conditions. – Appeal Democrat
