USGS says earthquakes can produce loud noises ressembling explosion booms. Now, residents of Warren, Michigan are concerned about mystery loud booms and strange sounds which, according to them, are damaging their homes. These stopped for several months but, then all of a sudden, the booms started back up again. What is the origin of these booms.
The latest event, which sounded like several loud explosions shook their homes, occurred last Sunday (March 3 2013) and created cracks in homes’ ceilings and basement foundations. The source of these odd sounds is still undetermined but could be related to an earthquake. Residents believe detonations are coming from nearby Warren Steel Holdings. What about you? – WKBN
