After floodings at the beginning of the month, the Solomon Islands have just been struck by a massive M8.3 quake about 102km SSE of Kirakira on 2014-04-12 at 20:14:37 UTC, as reported by USGS.
This quake follows a swarm of 11 earthquakes between M4.3 and M5.3 that hit S or SSW of Panguna, Papua New Guinea a few hours earlier.
There is something going on there! Hopefully is everybody safe!
