Massive dust storm engulfs Phoenix Valley on July 25, 2014.
Yesterday, a MASSIVE dust storm, or haboob, has swept across Phoenix, Arizona.
This giant wall of sand was photographed and recorded on video while hitting the city, leaving thousands of inhabitants without power.

The apocalyptic haboob also led to delays and cancellations of several flights at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.

Drivers were urged to keep their windows shut by police as the apocalyptic cloud of dust and sand swept across the US city of Phoenix, Arizona.

A Haboob is a type of intense dust storm carried on an atmospheric gravity current. Such immense sand apocalypses are capable of generating winds of up to 40mph in dry, barren areas of the world.
