Is there life on Mars? Scientists have discovered a mysterious structure, a cell-like object, embedded deep within a famous Martian meteorite called Nakhla.
Nakhla is a 1.38-billion-year-old Martian meteorite that fell to Earth on June 28, 1911 in Egypt. The rock was ejected from Mars surface around 11 million years ago before crashing on our Earth’s surface! What a travel!
This bizarre ‘cell-like’ oval structure with a concentric wall was discovered on a thin section of the Nakhla meteorite. According to the specialists, this weird object resembles a fossilized biological cell from Earth… But in a martian rock!
I would say it is actually an alteration product, but who knows, there is or there was once life on Mars!
