A car swallowed by a sinkhole is something scary! But being inside the swallowed car must be terrifying!
This Cape Town woman nearly died after her car was engulfed by a giant sinkhole. A couple, who witnessed the incident, pulled her out. Amazingly… lucky!
CAPE TOWN – Ayesha Parker, a Parow woman, narrowly escaped death when the road underneath her car collapsed. The next moment, her car had sunk deep into the earth and all that surrounded her was gravel. Can you imagine her fear?
The sinkhole covered the entire car right up to the roof. Luckily, she was pulled ut of her car by a couple who witnessed the dramatic incident. As they did that, the car sunk further and immediately started to fill with water. OMG!

After investigation, it seems that a water main broke and created the cavity. The road that was covered by the tar had eventually weakened to the point that it fell into the hole that had been building up for a while.
Hopefuly is Ayesha Parker not too traumatised by the bad sinkhole experience.
