Six members of one family – including three-year-old twins – died instantly when a giant sinkhole opened up in the motorway and swallowed their car in Crimea. Two other children aged 12 and 12 months survived.

The giant cavity appeared to be 6 meters (18ft) deep and 8 meters (24ft) wide. The highway collapsed between Simferopol and the village of Nikolaevka on Saturday, September 28, 2014.
