Massive Fireball Explodes Over Kochi, India Inducing Tremor And Sonic Boom (Video)

Panic gripped central Kerala as a massive fireball was spotted falling from the sky at night on Friday.

This is the third large event within a week although February and March are the slowest months for meteor activity…

Are these again some leftovers from the Chinese rocket that lit up Western US a few days ago? I doubt! This one was too fast! Look by yourself:

The space object created a sonic boom that rattled residents of Fort Kochi, Paravur and Kolencheri (an area of around 30km (18miles), like the giant meteor explosions in Florida and in Pennsylvania a few days ago.

Did it touch the ground? It is still unsure. It is said to have fallen in Valampur near Muvattupuzha. The fireball was seen from Thiruvananthapuram to Palakkad, so over a distance of 330km (205 miles).

The sky is on fire these days, although February and March are the slowest months for meteor activity…
