A little girl is pounding on her chest as she looks at the 3 male gorillas in the Omaha zoo.
Then, suddenly, one of the gorillas charges and breaks through the first of three layers of protective glass. OMG!
According to zoo curators the three gorillas, aged 17 to 22 are currently transitioning from blackbacks to silverbacks, trying to establish dominance in the same space. Entering manhood is off course bound to testosterone and aggressions.
The zoo says this isn’t the first time they’ve seen this before. Gorillas beat on the glass to makes sounds that scare off their peers.
