It’s so hot in India that roads are melting

Besides, droughts and death, another side effect of the current heat wave in India are melting roads.

Yes, it’s so hot that the asphalt covering the roads is melting. Insane!

Pedestrians in Gujarat’s Valsad had a nasty surprise on Saturday, May 21, 2016 as their shoes and slippers stucke to the melting tar on the roads.

The heat wave isn’t slowing down in India. After breaking the historical record heat (51°C), now the roads are melting.

  1. Well correct me if I am wrong, but if it was melting from the heat, wouldn’t those who became barefoot because their shoes got stuck, not show the discomfort of walking on the burning hot street? Something seems odd here.
