So unexpected! A man from Texas fired three times a gun on an armadillo passing through his yard.
One of the bullets ricocheted back on the animal’s shell to hit him in his face. And they didn’t find the armadillo.
The strange and totally unexpected story happened in Marietta, Texas at around 3 a.m. on August 3, 2017.
The man shot three times at the armadillo with his .38 revolver. The animal’s hard shell deflected at least one of three bullets, which then struck the man’s jaw.

While the man was airlifted to a nearby hospital, police officers weren’t able to find the armadillo, that is probably still running for its life or just laying low in his favorite position:
