A lightning struck three girls near Lily Lake in the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest on August 4, 2017.
The three girls, ages 2, 7 and 8 years old, from Evanston, Wyo., were on a camping and fishing trip with their family of five. 5 days ago, another two girls were hit by lightning at a camping near Big Flat in the Beaver Mountains.
The 3 injured were on the shore of the lake when a lightning storm rolled in. The father asked them to take cover among some trees… And that’s where the lightning struck.
The two older girls were knocked unconscious by the lightning strike. They were then revived by their father. They showed entrance wounds on their back — and it exited at their hips. The 2-year-old girl was taken to an hospital in fair condition.
I can’t imagine the trauma that you go through seeing your children get struck by lightning, and then having to go perform CPR and revive them. It took a lot of courage, a real HERO.
About 5 days ago, two other girls were transfered to an hospital in critical conditions after being hit by a lightning at a campground near Big Flat in the Beaver Mountains.
