Yesterday, the Democratic Republic of Congo declared an Ebola outbreak after at least 17 people died. Ebola is the deadly disease that killed more than 11,000 people a few years ago. Now the Democratic Republic of Congo is dealing with another wave of it. In the past five weeks, there have been 21 suspected cases, including 17 deaths. The World Health Organization said it is working with the gov to control the situation.
“Our country is facing another epidemic of the Ebola virus, which constitutes an international public health emergency,” the Democratic Republic of the Congo’s health ministry said in a statement.
Hopefully it will not spread to neighboring countries!
