  1. Too cheap to disassemble. Wind is likely a major factor in most crane topples. No excuse for this. A category 2 hurricane with 100 kmh wind plus wind gusted to 120 plus kmh …is not a light breeze.

  2. Curious as to how long it takes to disassemble a crane in case of bad weather—because surely they had lots of warning but I’m no expert in whether they had enough time to get it out of harms way or not.

  3. Lovely shot of engineering in action; those cranes are built to take 20 tons of weight when upright, but on its side the whole arm crumples under its own weight like it’s made of jelly. Beautiful
