The worldwide pandemic has closed schools, businesses and forced us to experience a new normal. Today we live isolated from each other, in our homes and we maintain our distance when we go outside.

While it is of paramount importance to follow the guidance from the WHO, so we can keep the situation in control, still, a lot of people find it difficult to obey these rules.

Hence, we might be asking ourselves, how social distancing will help us defeat this pandemic?

In our article, we provide an explanation of this question as well as tips to help you in this period of self-quarantine.

The Importance of Social Distancing

You might be wondering, why isn’t enough to avoid people with COVID-19 symptoms? Unfortunately, the severity of the symptoms can vary from one individual to another.

Researchers have discovered that many people are still be infecting others while they don’t have any of the symptoms associated with the virus, like fever, tiredness, difficulty breathing, runny nose, and dry cough.

This means that social distancing is the best way to keep the virus from spreading. Thus, governments will have more time to put adequate regulations in place to help industries and marginalized communities that are affected by the pandemic.

Ways to Beat Boredom

Today thanks to the internet there are many ways you can have fun while you’re at home. Playing games is one popular way to pass the time.

You can play video games, social-network games, and even casino games. There are many reputable casino sites that offer a wide range of online casino games in many variations. You can easily find a game that suits your preferences and budget, while there are also casino games available in demo mode. Furthermore, there are exciting welcome bonuses for new players and regular players have access to ongoing promotions and other perks.

On the other side, this is the perfect time to try out a new hobby, learn a new language or develop new skills. The good news is that most providers of online courses have offered huge discounts for their students and also there are a lot of courses available free of charge.

Additionally, you can also put your skills to good use and help your local community affected by the pandemic. Just make sure you follow the rules imposed by your government.

Practice Everyday Prevention

This means even if you don’t leave your house, you wash your hands with soap regularly, at least for 20 seconds. If you don’t have access to clean water and soap, then you need to use hand sanitizers. It’s especially important to use hand sanitizers when you go outside or when you touch common surfaces.

For people that live in areas with a shortage of hand sanitizers, there are a lot of recipes online that will help you make your own hand sanitizers. But it should be noted that you need to follow recipes by verified sources. In conclusion, stay at home as much as possible and go outside only for necessities.
