The ring of fire is heating up
The horseshoe-shaped Ring of Fire is a region about about 40,000 km (25,000 mi) long and up to about 500 km (310 mi) wide, which runs around much of the rim of the Pacific Ocean and where many volcanic eruptions and earthquakes occur.
A major landslide destroyed a street in Peru… The Kermadec islands were rocked by another strong quake… The Taal volcano is on the brink of a new major eruption… Some weird fire is gushing out of a water hole in Indonesia… Katmchatka has its mysterious giant craters… Don’t you think the Ring of Fire is kind of very active these days?
