An earthquake measuring 6.6 on the Richter scale struck eastern Kamchatka at 04:09 UTC on March 29, 2017.
The epicenter was located at a depth of 22.8 km (14.1 miles). It was followed by a M4.9 earthquake at 04:34 UTC. No tsunami threat.
Tremors were felt in many municipalities in the Ust-Kamchatsky district (Ust-Kamchatsk, Keys, Kozirevsk).
According to preliminary information, the are no victims and the earthquake hasn’t trigger any damages. There is no tsunami threat.
After the strong quake, all of the region’s critical infrastructure were still working in normal mode.
