Today, May 2, 2017, the mud volcano Lokbatan located on the shores of the Caspian Sea, 15 km south-east from Baku, erupted at 07:56 am.
The eruption lasted 4 minutes.
The site of volcanic activity is now closely monitored by officials from the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan.
