What were the strange sounds in the sky over St. Paul, Minnesota?
A strange howling, scaping and metallic sound awakened St. Paul residents Thursday morning as reported by Kare 11. Well, I must say, the descriptions and recordings match what we are used to call the strange sounds in the sky phenomenon!
So what is the best theory?
Some say it’s ice shifting on the Mississippi River:
The theory of it being ice and ice scraping up against something makes sense to us as hydrologic engineers. Not that I know for sure that’s what it was but it makes sense. Either the ice was cracked and moving against the shear plane or maybe it was moving up against the bridge pier.
Others suggest coyotes or the wind. Well, it’s a kind of somber music and eerie sounding! What do you believe are these sounds?
it isn’t ice nor wind or even coyotes we listen to them just about every night we have heard that same sound 4 times since Nov we have no ice nor was it windy however when we began to hear it the sound was coming up from the ground
we sleep with windows open been through hurricane winds with the windows open and have never heard sounds like that before and we have bee here for 15 years I believe it is some kind of harmonic quakes
