A water main break created a massive sinkhole and a large geyser sending thousands of gallons of water through the pavement in Aurora on June 27, 2014.
The break sent water gushing through the pavement and into the air until Aurora Water could shut down the line.
The water main break happened about 4:45 p.m. on Jamaica near Colfax Ave. in Aurora on June 26, 2014 and left about 13 buildings without water for a few hours. Although the water is safe to drink, officials recommended residents not to shower during repairs (will last until Friday afternoon).
What caused the break is being investigated but the cause still a mystery.
Was the ground shaking? I think the pipe was just too old. What about you?
