Giant fish are living in our rivers… And some get enough lucky to capture these rare monster fish. The last example is this 19-year-old US citizen who angled what is being called one of the largest white sturgeon ever caught on the Fraser River.
Actually I love fishing… And also tried my luck in the Fraser River. But I was only able to get some salmons (that I then smoked while living in B.C.’s bush for about three months). But that is actually not the point, is it?
Paul Jarvis and his dad Ron were much luckier than I got. First, they caught a sturgeon on their first day out. And second, it is one of the largest prehistoric white sturgeon ever fished in this mystic river.
According to CBC, Paul first thought this 11 feet long and 880 pounds fish was a shark. And this is the fourth giant sturgeon caught in the river in the last two years. Since sturgeon are a protected species, it was released after the photo session.
