At least a Million dead fish found in Georgetown County! Yes you can read… More than a million!
Apocalyptic view: The banks and water ways of the Winyah Bay in Georgetown County are covered with millions of dead fish after a massive fish kill occurred earlier this week.

This is one of the largest fish kill ever observed in the region. Up to a million animals; certainly hundreds of thousands.
But what is behind this massive fish kill?
According to a local marine biologist, hot temperatures during the summer decrease the level of available oxygen in water. During low tide, the levels of oxagen are even lower… Maybe were these fish caught in a shallow tidal pool?
Fish samples are being analysed to determine the mysterious cause of this mass die-off.
Now, fish are decomposing… Imagine the terrible smell!
