What is this mysterious ball of fire flying in the sky over Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, UK?
A space object on its way back to Earth? An exploding fireball? Or simply a cloud at dusk illuminated by the first sun rays?
This strange sky phenomenon was photographed in the skies above Cheltenham on Sunday and posted on Twitter right after. So what could it be?
Although it looks like something falling on fire, it probably just the sun shining on a cloud! I believe it is a contrail of an outbound aircraft at dusk. Nothing else! But I can be wrong!
Such a fireball would have indeed made the headlines in major newspapers or even created loud booms while exploding. None of this has been reported!
