This is not a timelapse video.
This is how northern lights look like in real time. Eerie!
This amazing live video was caught in the wild Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, Canada.
It is not exactly where I spotted my first and only Aurora Borealis. I was much further south in a little town north of Edmonton, Canada. But I can tell you they weren’t as amazing as these! Look at this nature spectacle:
This breathtaking video of Northern Lights was filmed live in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, Canada by astro-photographer Kwon O Chul. And do you hear the strange noises?
Discover the strange clipping sounds of auroras.
Those sounds weren’t produced by this light show but represent the awe, ambient sounds of tourists in the cold night air. Magic!
As commented by NASA: “The above image captured dramatic auroras stretching across the sky near the town of Yellowknife in northern Canada.
A video taken concurrently shows the dancing sky lights evolving in real time as tourists, many there just to see auroras, respond with cheers.
The conical dwellings on the image right are teepees, while far in the background, near the image center, is the constellation of Orion.”
