Twenty-one dolls atop bamboo stakes have been mysteriously found in an Alabama swamp.
The weird dolls have faces and hair painted in white … and some of them are missing heads.
What a creepy story in Autauga County, Alabama! Chief deputy Joe Sedinger had noticed the dolls several weeks ago while driving through the swamp working on a stolen vehicle report. He thought it was a Halloween prank, and really didn’t give it much thought after that.
But yesterday, sheriff’s deputies traveled by canoe into Bear Creek Swamp to recover the antique porcelain dolls as social media blew up about the creepy dolls, and the office got wind of the concerns.
Bear Creek Swamp is indeed a massive bog with a bit of a reputation locally. As a rite of passage, generations of teenagers have entered the area at night looking for creatures and haints said to roam the mist-covered realm. And it’s not unusual to hear reports of loud booms coming from its depths.
So why do you think these 21 mysterious dolls were placed in this Alabama swamp? Could it be voodoo?
