Soil liquefaction occurs when:
“[…] a saturated or partially saturated soil substantially loses strength and stiffness in response to an applied stress, usually earthquake shaking or other sudden change in stress condition, causing it to behave like a liquid. […]”
No earthquakes have been reported in the area on 25-26 August 2015.

But people commenting on the video blame the government for drilling deep water supply wells around the country thus destabilizing slopes and ground.
