This trippy glow in the sky over Austria baffled many skywatchers on December 26, 2017, believing a giant ghost was about to come down to Earth. But it seems that the strange light in the sky was most probably created by the test-fire of an RS-12M Topol intercontinental ballistic missile from the Kapustin Yar practice range in the southern Astrakhan Region.
