Just two days after the safe landing of NASA’s Perseverance on Mars, the rover is sending its first mysterious pictures: Some weird blue dogs!
This week pictures of stray dogs with very unnatural-looking blue fur blew up on VK.

The dogs were spotted near an abandoned chemical plant in the city of Dzerzhinsk, which is about 230 miles east of Moscow.
People were very concerned about the potential exposure to dangerous chemicals the dogs may have suffered.
The former bankruptcy manager of the plant said the facility used to produce plexiglass and hydrocyanic acid.
Although the plant closed six years ago, some buildings still house chemicals like copper sulfate, which the dogs may have been rolling around, thus blueing themselves.
Russian animal rights activists got involved and managed to get seven of the dogs to a veterinarian, who found that the dogs had no health complications, blue fur aside.
Whatever type of breed, they do look like a breed meant to be in the snow.
At first, I thought maybe some kids had too much vodka, and decided to use food coloring on the dog’s fur for laughs.
Well, I would adopt a blue Russian dog in a heartbeat. If it came with a beautiful Russian lady, then that would be even better. No blue hair on the lady though, just the dog.
This is a B.S. story. Nothing lines up, nothing makes sense, too many holes and too many unanswered questions. So my conclusion on the matter is this: whateva. Make me care with more details.
Yes, as you said, this was just to link the Perseverance Mars mission to these weird blue dogs photographed in Russia. Sometimes, I just try to be funny… Some understand, others don’t. Sorry you didn’t and have a nice weekend! Manuel
Too polite, Manuel.
