One of the most breathtaking and surreal scenes of the last few days was caught on camera in Indonesia, when a meteor suddenly entered the atmosphere and crashed into Mount Merapi volcano.
The amazing sky phenomenon took place on Thursday, May 27, 2021 and was captured by a CCTV camera in Kalitengah Kidul, Jogjakarta, where Mount Merapi is located.
Now watch the video of the green falling star lighting up the skies above the Mount Merapi volcano here:

Quite blurry, no? But still you can still clearly see a ball of fire entering the atmosphere directly above the top of Merapi volcano before seemingly crashing into the top of it.
Thankfully, the sky event was captured by a local Indonesian named Gunarto Song, who was able to caught the meteor falling from the sky in all its glory. Just look at these majestic shots!
Gunarto said that he took the photos from a location in Batu Alien in the Kaliadem Cangkringan district at around 11.07pm on May 27th.
“Suddenly there was a bright ray of light as if falling from above onto the top of Merapi volcano… It was super bright and fast. This is an authentic photograph. I took at 4 seconds exposure when I shot it.”
Mount Merapi is a sacred place for those living in and around the area. This majestic video and pictures of a meteor suddenly crashing into the volcano is certainly consistent to the supernatural aura that Mount Merapi exudes amongst the Indonesian people! Sorry but that is NOT a meteor! Are you people stupid? A meteor does NOT continue a streak through the sky, it would trail off and no Line would be seen. That is a Armed Service “laser weapon”. Stop lying to the public!
It is a four second exposure photograph!! Of course it’s going to look like a line! The same way that other pinpointed moving objects look like lines in a four second exposed photo. The same way that car tail lights and headlights look like lines when in long exposure photos as they’re driving by.
Don’t be ignorant!
Helluva great shot from photograher, Gunarto. Not sure of it hitting volcano Merapi. Could be an optical illusion. Perhaps, the people can go investigate and see if there is any impact evidence?
