After Chicago on July 1st, thunderstorms have moved to New York, yesterday!

Lightning and thunder were kind of dancing over the Manhattan’s skylines! WOW!

Severe thunderstorms rolled through the NYC area yesterday evening, June 02, 2014, creating intense cloud to ground lightning, torrential rains, and some small hail.

In this first video footage taken from top of Hell’s Kitchen looking towards Midtown West/Times Square area, the you can see the play of light on the NY buildings. But if you don’t have time, the main lightning strike hits at around 1:14:

The second video is actually a timelapse which was shot from two locations (near Juniper Valley Park in Middle Village, NY). Nice one too!

Hopefully this will be the beginning of an active summer thunderstorm season!
