A 360° rainbow is an incredibly rare meteorological and optical phenomenon.
Debra and Peter Ceravolo were lucky enough to photograph one from a flying plane.
Debra and Peter Ceravolo aren’t storm chasers but rainbow chasers. When they shot this incredible picture of a 360 degree rainbow, they were looking for the perfect conditions triggering this colorful phenomenon in the sky:
- An isolated rainshower with just the right sized cloud
- The sun low enough in the sky with enough sunlight reaching the shower
- The position of their plane to have the sun on one side and the shower on the other.
And of course they had pack a big bag of luck in their luggages!
It is the first time I see a photo and I hear about a 360 degree rainbow. What about you?
